- Stage 2
Preliminary Interest Call
30-minute prescheduled phone call with a member of our recruitment team. Only available to candidates who have cleared the preliminary background review.
- Stage 3
Physical Agility Test & Written Exam
You are invited to participate in the written exam portion of the Fort Mill Police Department’s hiring process. The exam is the National Police Officer Selection Test (POST), written by Stanard & Associates, Inc.
- Stage 4
Comprehensive Background Investigation
A full investigation into your employment, criminal, financial, and personal history.
- Stage 5
Oral Review Board
An interview with a panel of Fort Mill Police Department personnel.
- Stage 6
Final Review by the Chief of Police
The Chief makes the final decision regarding selection for a conditional offer.
- Stage 7
Conditional Job Offer
Candidates who successfully complete all prior steps will receive a conditional job offer.
- Stage 8
Psychological Evaluation, Medical Exam & Drug Screen
Final assessments to ensure fitness for duty.
- Stage 9
